Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read about Cognitivus and how we can assist you to improve your skill set.

My name is Sofia and I am a native English speaker and Facilitator, Mentor and Business Coach, here. I started my career with a Bachelor in Science (Chemistry) Degree from Manchester University, England before being awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in European Business Studies.

My first roles were in sales and product training, then marketing and training; where I travelled around most of the world organising events and working with VARs (value added resellers) and resellers. With a vast knowledge of languages and over 10 years of experience in international business cultures and industries, I decided to develop my skills in language training. So, after qualifying with a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), in 2010, I started teaching privately and in international schools, to children and adults with varying degrees of fluency, from the ages of 6 - 64 years. More recently (2021), I completed an accredited course and became a member of the International Coaching Federation, with a Diploma in Business Coaching.

I believe that the individual possesses the ‘key’ to their own metaphorical locked door; and this can be opened when potential is unlocked and enablement and empowerment allow for long-lasting progress and positive change to become a reality. As such, I consider my work to be fulfilling and assisting other professionals to reach their goals as a truly worthwhile endeavour.

I use a variety of coaching / training techniques, to ensure that the participant is able to easily understand and depart with a new perspective and (perhaps) insights.

I have learnt that clear communication is the key to success in working in a multi-cultural world, as is accepting change.
